Requirements to play drums in a jazz/big band:
-Click consistency
-Consistency of tempo w/o a click
-Experience in swing, latin, and funk/rock
-Ability to set up key musical points
-Ability to keep a pocket
-Ability to solo in multiple ways at multiple volumes
Requirements for a metal band:
-Ability to play 16th notes on the kick with a double pedal at 200 bpm for 5 minutes straight
